555 flyback arcs.
Duration: 8:15
You cannot tell, but the arcs look like my 6kv 30ma nst(even though it is quite a lot lower power). It has a 555 mounted on a small pc board alot with all the rest of the components(if there is any interest i will list the boards on ebay for about $40 because the component cost is 24 dollars, all it would need is the transistor or mosfet and there is a screw terminal thing so you can change the capacitor out for different freq. and the is a potentiometer for freq. adjust). It has a 12 volt 1 amp transformer rectified with a bridge rectifier and smoothed with 150uf worth of capacitors. It is built in a pc case with the plug and switch still there and operational. If anyone would like a box like this but made better, drop me a PM or email. After that 6 minute run the mosfet was still cold. Flyback warmed up quite a bit though
